When first trying to explain what my anxiety feels like, I remember telling my now-husband, “I just don’t feel settled.”
There is nothing more important on your to do list today than spending time with the God who saved you. There are no feelings or emotions that time with your creator will not improve. There are no circumstances in life he cannot speak into. Many of us know these things, we’ve heard them over and over in our lives, but we still don’t read our Bibles.
My busy schedule simply isn’t conducive to a Sabbath. Surely God didn’t have the 21st century and all its demands in mind when he established that command. Or so I thought.
If we were designed to be with God and we’re not regularly communicating with him, we’re suffocating.
